Child Safety Standards

Last updated: June 23, 2026

Coffeerate is committed to protecting children and has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page sets out our standards against CSAE, how we enforce them, and how to report concerns. These standards apply to everyone who uses Coffeerate.

1. Our zero-tolerance commitment

We prohibit any content, conduct or contact that sexualizes, abuses, exploits or endangers minors. This includes, without limitation:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form.
  • Sexualization of minors, including in text, photos, comments or usernames.
  • Grooming, solicitation, sextortion or any attempt to sexually exploit a minor.
  • Trafficking, endangerment, or facilitating offline harm to a child.

2. Minimum age

Coffeerate is intended for adults rating specialty coffee and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we will remove it.

3. How we report and act on CSAE

  • We promptly remove CSAE content when we become aware of it.
  • We disable accounts that violate these standards and may block re-registration.
  • We report confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or the appropriate authorities in the relevant jurisdiction, as required by law.
  • We preserve relevant records and cooperate with law enforcement investigations.

4. How to report a concern

If you encounter content or behavior that may exploit or endanger a child, please report it to us immediately:

  • In the app: use the report option on any review, comment or profile.
  • By email:safety@coffeerate.app — our child-safety point of contact.

We review every report and act quickly. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

5. Reporting resources

You can also report CSAE directly to dedicated organizations:

6. Legal compliance

We comply with applicable child-safety laws and with the child-safety policies of the platforms that distribute Coffeerate, including Google Play and the Apple App Store. We regularly review these standards to keep them effective.

7. Child-safety contact

Our designated child-safety contact can be reached at safety@coffeerate.app.
